Non-Profit organization: Room to Read
Dear Fans, Friends, & Family:
As an author and a citizen of a nation that prides ourselves on education it makes me feel saddened by the fact that so many children in our world still don’t have access to one single book.
I’ve created a fundraising effort to help raise $5,000.00 for the non-profit group Room to Read in an effort to establish a library in a deserving school in a 3rd world nation.
Something we in America take for granted everyday.. where would we all be without books?? Think about it!! I wouldn’t have been inspired to become an author, you wouldn’t have become inspired to become a nurse, doctor, lawyer, editor, teacher, pastor, fireman, police, mayor, or anything else in your life if it wasn’t for books. Books are the back bone of our education. Without them we wouldn’t be able to escape or be inspired!
Now imagine a place where no child has access to a single book… yea, I know sad isn’t it.. but it is true. thousands of kids across Asia and Africa don’t have a single book to read. Nothing to inspire them, nothing to escape in, nothing to further their education with.
Imagine your own child’s school not having a library, a or your town not having a libary. Amazing isn’t it. What a sad world to live in!

By helping out we can build a Room to Read (library) in a school where one doesn’t exsist and give a village a place for children to expand their possibilities!
